Kathrin Blikinsdorf completed the pre-study design course at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2012. During this time her passion for three-dimensional design became apparent. Following her fascination for product design, she applied to study Industrial Design FHNW Academy of Art and Design . During the summer holidays, Kathrin completed various internships in order to gain more experience the world of industrial design in many of its facettes from interior design to carpenter workshops. During her intensive studies, Kathrin Blikinsdorf acquired knowledge about product design, benefited from the lively exchange and critical input of her fellow students and put her heart and soul into the various projects. With her project ‘Shoes for Freitag’, Katrin Blikinsdorf wanted to deal with the topic of sustainable and resource-conserving production and develop this project into a viable business idea as part of the Swiss Cultural Challenge.
